California
Manasseh Jordan Ministries, Inc., Prophet Manasseh Products, and the companies’ owner are the defendants in a proposed class action that alleges the parties violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). According to the complaint, the defendants allegedly placed numerous unsolicited telemarketing calls to the plaintiff through phone numbers that were “spoofed” to display the man’s area code. The calls were allegedly placed using an automatic telephone dialing system and played a pre-recorded message at the beginning of each robocall.
