(which does business as Medical Alert King) is facing a proposed class action filed by a New York resident who claims the company placed a telemarketing call to his cell phone without his prior consent. According to the suit, the defendant used an automated dialing system to call the plaintiff and attempt to sell him a “medical monitoring system,” despite never having obtained his permission to place the call.
