Vital Recovery Services, LLC is facing a proposed class action filed in New York federal court that claims the debt collector failed to clearly convey to a consumer the amount of his alleged debt. The man says he received a collection letter from the defendant that stated his “Total Balance” and “Interest” but failed to mention whether the amount was continuing to increase over time. The suit argues that the letter left the plaintiff unsure as to whether any payment he made would satisfy the alleged debt.
