Filed: November 18, 2016 ◆§ 4:16-cv-06703-JSW
Premier Nutrition Corporation is facing another class action claiming its Joint Juice products are falsely advertised and labeled and are therefore deceptive.
Premier Nutrition Corporation is facing another class action claiming its Joint Juice products are falsely advertised and labeled and are therefore deceptive to consumers. The 24-page lawsuit alleges that Joint Juice, which comes in drink mix packets or eight- or 20-ounce bottles, is intentionally marketed as a daily drink that “helps keep cartilage lubricated and flexible,” but provides no such health benefits. According to the complaint, studies have shown the active ingredients in Joint Juice—glucosamine hydrocholoride and chondroitin sulfate—do nothing and are “not effective in providing the represented joint health benefits.”
