A class action filed in California claims Lumber Liquidators failed to deliver on its promises that its “Dream Home” brand of Chinese-made laminate flooring is “extremely durable” and meets industry standards. The 38-page complaint outlines consumers’ allegations that the Lumber Liquidators product is not suitable for household use in high-traffic areas and will not stand up to regular wear and tear despite its 30-year warranty. Plaintiffs say they would have never purchased the “Dream Home” flooring had they known it was susceptible to scratching and discoloration from normal use.
