The deluge of class action lawsuits against Lumber Liquidators continues to swell, with the latest case, this time filed in Washington, claiming the company’s “Dream Home” brand of Chinese-made laminate flooring is far less durable than advertised. The 54-page lawsuit claims the defendant deceived consumers by advertising its Dream Home laminate flooring as heavily durable and suitable for high-traffic areas in the home, as well as scratch resistant—a characteristic especially valued by pet owners.
Summarily, the suit argues the defendant’s claims that its Dream Home flooring meets industry durability standards are deceptive and that consumers would not have bought the flooring had they known it would fail under normal wear and tear.
