World Waters LLC and World Waters Holdings, LLC are the defendants in a proposed class action lawsuit alleging that they mislabeled their WTRMLN WTR products. According to the suit, the representations on the product label falsely imply that the product contains only watermelon juice, while lemon juice is also listed on the ingredients list. The labels also note that the juice is “cold-pressed,” indicating that it is fresh and has not been further processed, according to the complaint. In actuality, the defendants supposedly apply high pressure to the cold-pressed juice, which raises the temperature and results in a longer shelf life. By neglecting to mention this extra process on the label, the defendants imply that their juice is fresher than it actually is and are able to charge a premium price for it, the suit says.
