Filed: June 20, 2017 ◆§ 3:17-cv-01256-LAB-JLB
USCB, Inc. (which does business as USCB America) is facing claims that it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by placing autodialed calls to consumers' phones.
USCB, Inc. (which does business as USCB America) is facing claims that it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by placing autodialed calls to consumers’ cell phones without their prior consent. In a proposed class action lawsuit, a California consumer alleges that the defendant placed several “robocalls” to her cell phone in spite of the cease and desist letters sent by her attorney revoking any consent to receive the calls. The suit claims that the defendant’s conduct was “an invasion of a legally protected interest in privacy, which is specifically addressed and protected by the TCPA.”
