Filed: November 6, 2017 ◆§ 5:17-cv-01196-M
Specialized Loan Servicing LLC is facing a proposed class action alleging it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by failing to note on consumers' credit reports that certain debts were under dispute.
Oklahoma
Specialized Loan Servicing LLC is facing a proposed class action alleging it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) by failing to note on consumers' credit reports that certain debts were under dispute. The plaintiff says upon receiving a copy of his credit report on which the defendant had listed an alleged debt, he mailed a written dispute to the company requesting validation. After over a month passed without verification, the plaintiff claims he ran his credit report again and found that the defendant failed to mark the alleged debt as disputed, thereby violating the FDCPA, the case says.
