Lawsuit: Social Agency, Inc. Illegally Robocalled CA Consumers

Lead generation and web design company Social Agency, Inc. (which is also known alternatively as Local Hype 365) is the defendant in a proposed class action that claims it “negligently, knowingly and/or willfully” committed abuses of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The complaint alleges the defendant used a TCPA-prohibited automatic telephone dialing system, one that utilizes a pre-recorded voice message, to place calls to consumers’ cell phones without permission to do so. The plaintiff claims he never provided the defendants with his cell phone number or established any business relationship before the robocalls began.
