A New York consumer has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against Kimberly-Clark Corporation alleging that its Scott Naturals Flushable Cleansing Cloths are mislabeled as “natural” when they contain synthetic ingredients. The suit argues that the product’s label would lead a reasonable consumer to believe that the “natural” cleansing cloths are made from all natural ingredients and are worth a premium price. In actuality, the product allegedly contains sodium chloride, sodium benzoate, phenoxyethanol, malic acid, polysorbate 20, lauryl glucoside, and sorbic acid, which are synthetic, according to the complaint.
