Reliant Services Group, LLC, which does business as Reliant Funding, is on the receiving end of a proposed class action that claims the company unlawfully placed calls to consumers’ cell phones through an automatic telephone dialing system in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff claims he began receiving autodialed calls to his cell phone from the defendant in late January 2017. Each call allegedly began with a period of “dead air,” which the lawsuit says is commonplace with the use of autodialing or predictive dialing technology.
