Professional Transportation Inc. United Professional and Service Employees Union United Professional and Service Employees Union Local 12222
Arkansas
Professional Transportation Inc. (PTI), United Professional and Service Employees Union, and United Professional and Service Employees Union Local 12222 have been named as defendants in a proposed class action lawsuit alleging that they discriminate against black employees by paying them less than white employees. The plaintiff claims she worked for the defendants as a van driver and was terminated for disclosing the number of operational and non-operational vans to a Southern Pacific Railroad official. She says a white employee “engaged in the same conduct” and was not terminated. The suit further argues that similarly situated white employees were hired when the plaintiff was hired, or later, and were paid a greater hourly wage because of their race.
