Adkins v. One Lodging Management, Inc.
Filed: January 5, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv19
One Lodging Management, Inc. is facing a proposed class action filed by a wheelchair-bound individual who claims the defendant has failed to make its complimentary hotel transportation services available to guests with disabilities.
Pennsylvania
One Lodging Management, Inc., which operates various hotels throughout the country, is facing a proposed class action filed by a wheelchair-bound individual who claims the defendant has failed to make its complimentary hotel transportation services available to guests with disabilities. The plaintiff says she called a Hampton Inn owned by the defendant and was told its shuttle service was not wheelchair-accessible. The suit argues that the defendant is required under federal law to offer guests with disabilities the same benefits and privileges afforded to its non-disabled guests.
“For demand responsive systems,” the complaint reads, “[the defendant] must provide wheelchair-accessible vehicles or ensure that equivalent service is provided.”
