Lawsuit: Nature’s Science Garcinia Cambogia Product Falsely Labeled

A proposed class action has been filed against Wellnx Life Sciences, Inc. and Platinum US Distribution, Inc. (which do business as Wellnx Life Sciences, USA) over allegations that the parties’ Nature’s Science brand “100% Pure Garcinia Cambogia” product does not live up to its label’s claims. The case argues that despite the defendants’ promises that the product will promote weight loss, it is essentially useless. Both named plaintiffs in the case claim they purchased and ingested the supplement as directed without receiving any of the purported benefits.

“[The defendants] unapologetically boast about the efficacy of Garcinia Cambogia – the main active ingredient in the Product – despite the overwhelming scientific literature refuting the fat burning, weight loss, and appetite suppression claims,” the complaint reads.

On top of that, the suit argues that the product contains only 26 percent of the advertised amount of its active ingredient, rendering its labels “false and misleading.”
