Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance Company is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims it unlawfully failed to pay title and registration fees to an insurance policyholder after the woman's vehicle was totaled in an accident. The plaintiff alleges she submitted a claim for her 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS to the defendant after which Nationwide determined that the vehicle was a total loss and agreed to compensate her for the value of the car, according to the complaint. The suit alleges, however, that Nationwide violated Colorado state law by failing to include in its payment the full amount of title and registration fees associated with the total loss of the vehicle.
