Dolan v. Tpg Hotels & Resorts, Inc.
Filed: May 21, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv2309
The operating company of a Hilton Suites in Atlanta has been hit with a proposed class action that claims the hotel's complimentary transportation services are not wheelchair accessible.
TPG Hotels & Resorts, Inc., which operates various hotels across the country, has been hit with a proposed class action filed by a disabled individual who claims the company's complimentary transportation services are not wheelchair accessible. The plaintiff supposedly called the Hilton Suites Atlanta Perimeter hotel and was informed that she would be unable to access the complimentary shuttle with her wheelchair and would not be provided with another option. Citing potential violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the woman argues that the defendant must provide the same services to disabled individuals as it offers to non-disabled guests or provide an equivalent alternative. TPG operates many other hotels under the Double Tree, Hilton, Staybridge, Westin, Hyatt, Renaissance, Marriott, and Sheraton Suites names at which it also fails to provide accessible transportation services, the case says.
