Eclipse Financial, LLC is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims the debt collector falsely posed as an attorney in order to induce payment from a Pennsylvania consumer.
Eclipse Financial, LLC is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit that claims the debt collector falsely posed as an attorney in order to induce payment from a Pennsylvania consumer. The plaintiff alleges that he received a collection letter from the defendant that stated: “This communication is from an attorney debt collector.” The suit argues that no attorney is actually involved in collecting the alleged debt and that the defendant’s “false and misleading” statement therefore violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
