A Florida woman has filed suit against DEM Jet, Inc. claiming the company sent her an illegal text message without first obtaining her permission.
A Florida woman has filed suit against DEM Jet, Inc. claiming the company sent her an illegal text message without first obtaining her permission. The complaint claims the defendant, which does business as Jets.com, “engages in unsolicited telemarketing” by sending consumers text messages advertising its private jet services “with no regard for consumers’ privacy rights.” According to the suit, the plaintiff received a text from the company despite never having provided her express consent to receive it.
