Glick v. Client Services, Inc.
Filed: June 7, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-03433
Client Services, Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action lawsuit alleging that the debt collector failed to clearly identify consumers' creditors.
Client Services, Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action lawsuit alleging that the debt collector violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by failing to clearly identify consumers’ creditors. The plaintiff in the suit claims she received a collection letter from Client Services that stated “RE: CHASE BANK USA, N.A.” The suit argues that this statement fails to note whether Chase is the original creditor, the current creditor, or the creditor to whom the debt is owed. As a result, the plaintiff could not confidently determine which creditor Client Services was attempting to collect for, according to the complaint.
