Dent v. Premier Nutrition Corporation
Filed: November 21, 2016 ◆§ 3:16-cv-06721
Premier Nutrition Corporation is the defendant in a class action alleging the company unlawfully advertised and marketed its Joint Juice products.
Premier Nutrition Corporation is the defendant in a class action alleging the company unlawfully advertised and marketed its Joint Juice products as having health benefits for consumers’ joints when in fact these claims are false. The 24-page complaint says Joint Juice products promise to improve cartilage flexibility and growth, as well as provide joint lubrication and comfort benefits. These claims are intentionally aimed at health-conscious consumers, who the lawsuit says would not have bought the products had they known that Joint Juice does not perform as advertised.
The suit further claims that “expert stories” included in Joint Juice’s marketing and advertising amount to nothing more than gimmicks that reinforce false health information purported by the defendant.
