Law Officers of Timothy Carl Blake, P.A. v. JCM Distributors, LLC
Filed: October 6, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-23676-PAS
A lawsuit claims JCM Distributors, which operates as JCM Copiers, illegally sent junk faxes advertising its products without including opt-out language.
JCM Distributors, LLC, which does business as JCM Copiers, is the defendant in a proposed class action out of Florida that alleges the company sends out unsolicited “junk” fax advertisements in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff, a Miami-Dade County law office, claims the defendant sends the unwanted faxes, which advertise discounts on a particular brand of copy machines sold by JCM Copiers, that do not contain mandatory opt-out language required under the TCPA.
