Slivak v. The Irish Rover Station House et al
Filed: January 19, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv240
Alleged Americans with Disabilities Act violations are the focus of a proposed class action filed against Langhorne, PA's Irish Rover Station House.
Pennsylvania
The companies and individuals who operate the Irish Rover Station House are the defendants in a proposed class action case filed over alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The plaintiff, a woman who the case says suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta (known as brittle bone disease), claims no parking spaces at the defendants’ Langhorne, Pennsylvania restaurant are designated “van accessible.” The woman claims in the complaint that the apparent lack of appropriate parking, with only one space marked with an aisle, prevented her from being able to safely lower her modified van’s wheelchair ramp. Moreover, the plaintiff says the defendants also have no wheelchair-accessible ramp at the main entrance of their restaurant.
