Inkaholic Tattoos, Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action out of Florida wherein the plaintiff claims the tattoo shop operator sent unsolicited marketing text messages to thousands of consumers without consent to do so. Citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the lawsuit says the plaintiff received texts from the defendant on at least three occasions between December 2017 and January 2018 despite never providing the company with express written consent to be contacted via automatic telephone dialing system. The messages offered prices for “simple tats” and advertised free piercings on particular days, the suit says.
