A proposed class action against the drug manufacturers listed below claims the entities unlawfully conspired to 'fix, maintain, and/or stabilize drug prices.
A proposed class action against the drug manufacturers listed below claims the entities unlawfully conspired to “fix, maintain, and/or stabilize the prices of” the generic Lidicaine/Prilocaine, a topical anesthetic:
- Impax Laboratories, Inc.
- Sandoz, Inc.
- Fougera Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
- Hi-Tech Pharmacal Co., Inc.
- Akorn, Inc.
- Actavis Holdco U.S., Inc.
The 73-page lawsuit alleges the defendants’ conspiracy was put into motion by “direct company-to-company contacts” within the generic drug industry. Citing a 2014 U.S. Department of Justice investigation, the complaint says the defendants’ alleged conduct endangered human lives.
