Filed: December 14, 2017 ◆§ 4:17cv245
A Georgia man claims ICOT Hearing Systems and its parent company broke the law by placing automated telemarketing calls to consumers without consent.
Georgia
ICOT Hearing Systems, LLC, which does business as ListenClear, and its parent holding company are the defendants in a proposed class action filed over alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff, a Georgia consumer, claims the hearing aid manufacturer repeatedly placed automatically dialed telemarketing calls to his home phone without consent to do so. The calls were supposedly placed in September and October 2017, the lawsuit says, with each utilizing a pre-recorded voice message. According to the complaint, the plaintiff’s number has been in the National Do Not Call Registry for more than five years prior to when the man began receiving ListenClear’s solicitation calls.
