Getty Realty Corporation, which does business as GTY-Pacific Leasing, LLC, and Getty Leasing, Inc. have been hit with a proposed class action complaint alleging the defendants violate Title III of the American with Disabilities Act.
Getty Realty Corporation, which does business as GTY-Pacific Leasing, LLC, and Getty Leasing, Inc. have been hit with a proposed class action complaint alleging the defendants violate Title III of the American with Disabilities Act. The plaintiffs in the case are both dependent on wheelchairs for mobility and say they were denied full and equal access because of the defendants’ “inaccessible parking lots and paths of travel.” The suit says multiple locations owned by the defendants contain access barriers, including but not limited to, the following:
The plaintiffs want an injunction to remove the alleged access barriers, as well as “an injunction to modify the policies and practices that have created or allowed…inaccessibility to affect Defendant’s network of facilities.”
