Former directors and instructors have filed a proposed class action against several for-profit schools claiming the entities violated the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN Act) by terminating employees without providing mandatory 60 days advance written notice. The 14-page complaint says that proposed class members were all employed by the below defendants until their termination in either August or September 2016:
- MedTech College, LLC
- Sanz School, Inc.
- Radians College, LLC
- JTC Education, Inc.
- JTC Education Holdings, Inc.
- Excellere Partners, LLC
Filed in Virginia, the lawsuit seeks to recover 60 days’ wages and benefits allegedly owed to proposed class members. The terminations executed by the defendants reportedly affected more than 50 full-time employees.
