Business technology sellers ScanSource, ScanSource Communications, Inc. and 8650 Commerce Drive, LLC have been hit with a class action citing violations of the FLSA.
Business technology sellers ScanSource, ScanSource Communications, Inc. and 8650 Commerce Drive, LLC have been hit with a class action citing violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Plaintiffs claim the companies, which distribute point-of-sale systems, barcode scanners, conferencing solutions and similar technologies, failed to pay “lead” and “supervisor” employees the minimum wage and overtime compensation. Further, the plaintiffs say the defendants also failed to keep accurate records of employees’ hours worked.
The proposed class includes current and former salaried “lead” and “supervisor” employees whose primary job duties were non-managerial in nature and who did not supervise two or more full-time workers.
