Arakelyan v. Npp, Inc.
Filed: November 26, 2018 ◆§ 9:18cv81615
A Florida woman alleges that Titan Merchant Services sent a prerecorded message to her cell phone without first obtaining her prior consent to do so.
A Florida woman alleges that Titan Merchant Services—a company that provides payment processing systems to businesses—sent a prerecorded message to her cell phone without first obtaining her prior consent to do so.
In November 2018, the plaintiff received a “ringless” voicemail from the defendant in which the company advertised its payment and transaction services, the case says. According to the suit, the defendant was not authorized to place the call because the woman never provided the company with her express written permission to be sent prerecorded messages to her voicemail box.
