Florida Man Claims CenturyLink ‘Bombards’ Consumers with Robocalls
Last Updated on May 8, 2018
Gardner v. CenturyLink, Inc.
Filed: August 31, 2017 ◆§ 8:17-cv-02084-CEH-AEP
A new lawsuit over alleged Telephone Consumer Protection Act abuses is CenturyLink's latest legal challenge.
A proposed class action alleges CenturyLink, Inc. serially violates the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by bombarding consumers with whom it has no relationship with automatically dialed robocalls and prerecorded messages. The plaintiff, a Florida man, alleges the besieged telecom giant used an automatic dialing system to call his and other consumers’ cell phones despite repeatedly informing the company that he is not a customer and wishes the calls stop.
