Florida
Transamerica Financial Advisors, Inc., World Financial Group, Inc., and World Financial Group Insurance Agency, Inc. are on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Junk Fax Prevention Act of 2005. The plaintiff, a Florida business, claims it received an unsolicited fax advertisement from the defendants that did not include a required opt-out notice. The suit argues that the plaintiff had no prior business relationship with the defendants, did not provide express consent to receive the fax, and on top of that, was denied the information needed to prevent future unwanted faxes.
