BorrowersFirst, Inc. is facing a California man’s claims that the company unlawfully failed to identify itself as a debt collector in its communications with consumers.
BorrowersFirst, Inc. is facing a California man’s claims that the company unlawfully failed to identify itself as a debt collector in its communications with consumers. The plaintiff says he received at least two voice messages from the defendant in which a prerecorded voice provided him with a phone number and instructed him to “immediately please press one” to speak with a representative. The suit argues that neither message properly identified the defendant as a debt collector and therefore violated California state law.
