United Collection Bureau, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit filed by a New York resident who claims the debt collector failed to clearly inform her of the amount she allegedly owed.
United Collection Bureau, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action lawsuit filed by a New York resident who claims the debt collector failed to clearly inform her of the amount she allegedly owed. According to the complaint, the defendant sent the plaintiff a collection letter that included her “Current Account Balance,” but neglected to disclose whether the amount was increasing due to interest, which the case says violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
