Severns v. National Enterprise Systems Inc
Filed: April 5, 2017 ◆§ 2:17-cv-00495-LA
A lawsuit has been filed against National Enterprise Systems, Inc. claiming it failed to clearly indicate how much time consumers were given to dispute alleged debts.
Wisconsin
A lawsuit has been filed against National Enterprise Systems, Inc. claiming the debt collector failed to clearly indicate how much time consumers were given to dispute their alleged debts. According to the complaint, the plaintiff received a debt collection letter from the defendant stating that she had 30 days to dispute the debt or request validation. The letter allegedly listed three different dates, including a “Date of Issue” in October 2001. The plaintiff claims the “ambiguous language” in the letter made it unclear as to when the validation period would end. These “confusing and conflicting” dates fail to “clearly and unambiguously inform” the consumer of his or her rights, the suit says.
