Filed: November 11, 2016 ◆§ 1:16-cv-04223-LMM-JCF
Student loan collection group Regional Adjustment Bureau, Inc. is the defendant in a class action lawsuit that claims the debt recoupment agency violated the FDCPA.
Student loan collection group Regional Adjustment Bureau, Inc. is the defendant in a class action lawsuit that claims the debt recoupment agency committed violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) in its communications with consumers. The lawsuit claims the defendant failed to state the identity of the current creditor in a collection letter sent to the plaintiff. Although the “client name” in the letter was listed as “GTAM-STAB-SLF-2c-GT-2013,” the complaint asserts that this is just a meaningless string of numbers and letters and that no such entity or creditor exists under that name.
