Firstsource Advantage, LLC has been named as the defendant in a proposed class action lawsuit that claims it violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by failing to clearly state the amount of a man’s alleged debt. The plaintiff in the case says he received a collection letter from the defendant informing him that his “Account Balance” “reflects the total balance as of the date of this letter.” According to the complaint, the letter implied that the man’s amount of debt could increase in the future, but failed to provide him with any additional information regarding added fees that would cause it to change.
