Southern California Edison Company is the defendant in a proposed class action over alleged violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The plaintiff claims the Pomona, California-based company “is reporting derogatory information” about him and proposed class members to one or more consumer credit bureaus. The lawsuit says the plaintiff, on four separate occasions, has had to dispute the accuracy of the information reported by the defendant to Experian. The defendant has allegedly not responded to two of the plaintiff’s letters of dispute, nor provided notice of this disputed matter to the credit bureaus, which the case says is a violation of the FCRA.
