Filed: October 5, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-07190;
Two more lawsuits out of IL claim certain trucking companies violated federal law by failing to disclose background check information to prospective drivers.
Illinois
Two other proposed class actions have been filed in Illinois by a plaintiff who claims certain trucking and transportation companies violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act with regard to their use of background checks in their hiring processes for prospective drivers. The lawsuits, respectively filed against LTI Trucking Services, Inc. and Mesilla Valley Transportation, Inc. and MVT Services, LLC, allege the defendants unlawfully withheld certain FCRA-required information from the plaintiff and proposed class members the companies decided not to hire based wholly or in part on their background reports.
