Eisen v. Enhanced Recovery Company, Llc
Filed: October 10, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv5657
Enhanced Recovery Company is the defendant in a lawsuit that alleges the company attempted to collect a debt the plaintiff did not owe.
New York
Enhanced Recovery Company, LLC is the defendant in a lawsuit that alleges the company attempted to collect a debt the plaintiff did not owe.
The plaintiff claims that after the defendant tried to collect on a balance supposedly owed to Sprint, she contacted the telecommunications company and confirmed that there was no Sprint account in her name. The woman went on to dispute the allegedly invalid debt in October 2017, the complaint says.
“The balance that the Defendant was seeking to collect was non-existent; the Defendant made the Plaintiff believe that she in fact owed such an amount to Sprint when it was not the case,” the complaint reads.
The case further charges that the defendant failed to lawfully register the debt as disputed with credit reporting agencies and instead reported it as a valid debt in a November 2017 credit report.
