Dynamic Collectors, Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action filed by a Washington consumer who alleges the company sent her a collection notice containing “false and deceptive representations.”
The case focuses on a November 2017 letter sent to the plaintiff regarding a medical debt. The letter supposedly indicated a zero balance for “interest, attorney’s fees, court costs and collection fees” while simultaneously stating an annual interest rate of 12 percent. According to the suit, the letter left the plaintiff confused as to whether interest was accruing and unsure of whether the listed debt balance of $438 was the true amount owed.
