Untershine v. Diversified Consultants Inc et al
Filed: May 1, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv679
A consumer alleges Diversified Consultants and Jefferson Capital Systems misled him regarding the identity of his creditor.
Wisconsin
Diversified Consultants Inc. (DCI) and Jefferson Capital Systems, Inc. (JCS) find themselves as defendants in a lawsuit in which a consumer alleges the companies misled him regarding the identity of his creditor.
The suit claims that DCI sent a letter to the plaintiff stating that his alleged debt was “transferred from WebBank to Bluestem Brands, Inc. and purchased by Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC.” Adding to the confusion, the letter then stated that DCI would be servicing the account, according to the lawsuit. The case argues that the plaintiff “would not be able to determine who actually holds the debt” after reading the “confusing” letter, which the suit points out identifies “four separate entities potentially seeking to collect the debt.”
