Two separate class actions filed yesterday claim New York City restaurants Del Frisco’s and Hillstone operate websites that are not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Filed by the same named plaintiff, a legally blind woman from New York, the complaints allege the restaurants’ websites are nearly impossible for visually disabled individuals to navigate due to accessibility barriers. The lawsuits note the plaintiff intended to make a reservation and use a gift card to make a purchase at the respective restaurants but was unable to because of the sites’ exclusively visual interface.
