Out of California court comes a proposed class action that alleges defendant Debt.com LLC placed unsolicited calls to consumers’ cell phones, with some being placed to numbers included in the National Do-Not-Call registry. The lawsuit, which cites alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), claims the plaintiff, whose number has been in the National Do-Not-Call registry since 2010, began receiving robocalls from the defendant in or around March 2016. The phone calls were allegedly placed using automatic dialing technology used to store or call numbers en masse.
