Texas
Credit Service, Inc. (which does business as C.S.I. Group) and Adam Bush Law Firm, P.C. have been named as defendants in a proposed class action lawsuit that claims the debt collectors failed to adequately inform a consumer of her debt dispute rights. The plaintiff says the collection letter she received from the defendants contained information concerning the debt dispute process but neglected to mention that her dispute or request for validation must be in writing. The suit argues that the alleged lack of information could cause the plaintiff to forego the protections afforded to her under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
