Menza v. Receivables Management Partners, LLC et al
Filed: April 3, 2017 ◆§ 2:17-cv-02235-ES-JAD
Receivables Management Partners, LLC, which does business as Berks Credit Collections, is the defendant in a proposed class action alleging violations of the FDCPA.
New Jersey
Receivables Management Partners, LLC, which does business as Berks Credit Collections, is the defendant in a proposed class action alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The plaintiff claims he received a letter from the debt collector that included “fees” totaling $96 in addition to the alleged principle amount. The complaint argues that no agreement existed between the plaintiff and his creditor that authorized fees to be charged to his account at the time the letter was sent, and that Receivables Management was not permitted to do so under the FDCPA.
The suit seeks monetary relief from the defendant’s alleged “abusive, deceptive and unfair collection practices.”
