Finance System of Green Bay, Inc. is facing a proposed class action that takes issue with a collection letter the defendant sent a Wisconsin consumer that allegedly contained false implications about the consumer’s credit score.
According to the suit, the plaintiff received a collection letter from the debt collector regarding an obligation purportedly owed to Green Bay Radiology SC. Contained in the notice, according to the complaint, were the following statements:
The case claims these statements falsely implied that Green Bay Radiology “maintained a credit rating” for the plaintiff and, even further, that her credit was “good.” The representations in the letter were “false, deceptive, or misleading,” according to the suit, and violated federal debt collection law.
