Filed: August 9, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv23240
A Florida consumer claims that Cubamax Travel Inc. – an online travel agency that coordinates trips to Cuba – sent him an unsolicited promotional text message.
A Florida consumer claims in a proposed class action that Cubamax Travel Inc. – an online travel agency that coordinates trips to Cuba – sent him an unsolicited text message promoting its services.
In May 2018, the complaint says, Cubamax Travel texted the plaintiff a promotion using an automatic telephone dialing system without first obtaining his prior express written consent as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The case also argues that the defendant knew or should have known that its actions violated the TCPA.
