A Connecticut woman has filed suit against Alltran Financial Limited Partnership for allegedly misstating the identity of her original creditor in a debt collection letter.

A Connecticut woman has filed suit against Alltran Financial Limited Partnership for allegedly misstating the identity of her original creditor in a debt collection letter. The plaintiff says the letter named “Kohl’s Department Stores Inc.” as her “Original Creditor” when, according to the suit, Kohl’s is “neither a bank nor a lender of credit” and “therefore cannot be the original creditor.”
