In a proposed class action filed in Florida, a Connecticut doctor claims The iRemedy Healthcare Companies, Inc. unlawfully sent out junk advertisement faxes promoting its medical products to recipients who had no previous relationship with the company and did not provide consent to receive the messages. The defendant, an e-commerce outfit that sells medical devices to healthcare providers, allegedly violated the junk fax prevention provision of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) with its spam fax-based ad campaign, the lawsuit claims.
